BattleCityOnline.com is a free browser game. There is no sign-up, no account and no form on this site, so you never hand over your name, e-mail address or any other personal detail. This page explains the small amount of data that is involved anyway, and what you can do about it.

What this site never collects

There is no registration, no login for visitors, no newsletter, no comments, no file uploads and no payments. Nothing here asks you to type personal information, and no data is sold or shared for advertising.

Your game progress stays in your browser

The game and the levels page remember a little state on your device: which stages you have opened and the progress the game itself keeps. It is stored in your browser's own storage on your computer or phone. It is never uploaded to the site, and clearing your browser data removes it completely.

Visit statistics (Yandex Metrica)

To see how many people play and which pages they open, the site uses Yandex Metrica (counter 51916853). It records technical information about the visit:

• pages opened, the time of the visit and the page you arrived from;
• browser, operating system, screen size and language;
• IP address, from which an approximate region is derived;
• clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, including session recording (Webvisor), which shows how the interface is used.

This data is processed by Yandex on our behalf, and Yandex Metrica sets its own cookies in your browser. See the Yandex Privacy Policy and the Metrica Terms of Use. You can switch this off for every site at once with the Metrica opt-out, or with any tracker-blocking extension.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies for visitors. The only cookies come from the statistics tool described above. WordPress sets a cookie only when the site owner signs in to the admin area.

Server logs

Like any website, the hosting provider records each request in its server log: IP address, date and time, the address requested and the browser string. These logs keep the site running and help investigate abuse, and the provider rotates and deletes them in the normal course of operation.

No ads and no third-party embeds

The game, its files, the images and the fonts are all served from this domain. There are no advertising networks, no social network buttons, no external widgets and no third-party content delivery networks. The visit statistics above are the only external service in use.

Children

This is a classic arcade game suitable for all ages. No accounts exist, and no information is knowingly collected from children.

Your choices

• Block the statistics tool with a browser extension or the opt-out link above.
• Clear your browser storage to erase local game progress.
• Use private browsing so nothing is kept on your device after the session.

Changes to this page

If the way this site handles data changes, the page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
